Glasgow is viewed as a trend-setter in European Culture and a centre of dining excellence to such an extent that it is now widely acknowledged that Glasgow has the best dining scene in the UK outside of London. Glasgow has the metropolitan feel of a major international city but still retains the village community where local businesses know each other. The restaurateurs in our city all understand that local spirit is a vital factor in presenting a town that is 'together'. Sharing experiences and knowledge is a culture in Glasgow, which allows us to progress at a pace which many spectators observe with envy.
It was this spirit of co-operation and progressive thinking which led to the formation of Glasgow Restaurant Association, a not for profit organisation, which has grown over several years from a small number of restaurants to over eighty of the best Glasgow restaurants. The Association has uniquely allowed a group of widely diverse professionals to exchange ideas with one common aim - to promote the excellence of the Glasgow restaurant landscape on a local, national and international level.

Who Gives a Fork?
Through the course of 2011, GRA restaurants aim to raise over £100,000 for Maggie's Glasgow Centre, which provides a comprehensive support programme for people and their families affected by cancer.
